To be eligible for a return, items must meet the following requirements:
- Items must be returned within 30 days of purchase.
- Items must be in their original packaging and in the same condition as when they were received.
- Items must have all the original parts, accessories, and manuals.
- Items that are considered perishable, customized, or intimate are not eligible for return.
- Items that have been installed or used are not eligible for return, unless they are defective or damaged.
How to Return an Item
If you have an item that meets the requirements for return, follow these steps:
- Contact Genesis Smart Homes customer service to initiate the return process.
- Pack the item securely in its original packaging.
- Include all original parts, accessories, and manuals.
- Affix the prepaid return shipping label to the outside of the package.
- Ship the item back to Genesis Smart Homes.
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it to ensure it meets the requirements for return. If the item meets the requirements, we will process a refund to your original payment method. Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days.
Please note that in some cases, the shipping and handling charges may not be refundable. The original shipping cost will be deducted from the refund amount, unless the item was defective or damaged when received. If the product was received as a gift, the refund will be made in the form of store credit.
Exceptions and Exclusions
In some cases, items may not be eligible for return. Examples include:
- Items that are perishable, customized, or intimate
- Items that have been installed or used, unless they are defective or damaged
- Items that are not in their original packaging or have missing parts or accessories
- Items that are returned outside of the 30-day return period
